I awoke this morning to a rainy season drizzle out of my window of my 7th floor Tokyo hotel room at the New Otani Inn. Having woken up quite early, I grabbed my camera and went out to get some pictures of the neighborhood. We are staying in Osaki, which is a recently rebuilt and rehabilitated neighborhood along the Yamanote Line that encircles central Tokyo. Here is a link to short description of our neighborhood:
It is an amazing convenient neighborhood with many shiny new buildings, but being largely a commercial center, it is quite quiet at night and is a bit lacking in character.
